Bra Review

I think a lot of us fat folk have bra issues.  Hell, A LOT OF US PEOPLE have bra issues.  And for me, it's especially frustrating because I am never sure of my cup size.  I have been professionally measured, and they still aren't sure!  I believe I am somewhere around a 38C.

As a fat girl with small boobs, sometimes it's easy to feel bad about my chest.  The images of fat women that are seen as 'beautiful' are usually large breasted.  Well, I find that having a sexy bra can help with that issue.  Screw the 'acceptable' fat body - my chest is beautiful too!

The first two bras are from Torrid.  I bought the mauve one first, and love it so much I had to buy the black as well!

This gorgeous bra is super comfortable.  It has a thick band, which I appreciate because it offers more support.  Plus, the lace isn't thick enough to make a noticeable pattern if you're wearing a tight top.  The underwire is a little flimsy, so be careful taking it on and off!

Next, I have a bra from Victoria Secret.  This is a 36D, since Victoria Secret apparently does not like fat people.

It's not my favorite, but it's so pretty!  I really only wear it when I'm entertaining sexy time guests.

And finally, another bra from Torrid, is my absolute favorite!

It is INCREDIBLY comfortable.  Even though it's just a nude bra, it makes me feel so sexy.  I like the support it gives while also keeping my shape.

Whatever bra you choose, make sure it feels good on!  It needs to both make you feel beautiful, while also doing it's job.

  1. Warning for unsolicited bra advice -

These are really cute on you! But I think the sizing is not ideal. I know you say you've been professionally measured, but whether they know what they're talking about is often all over the place.
They best thing to do really is measure yourself: http://bustyresources.wikia.com/wiki/How-to_determine_bra_size
(I do know measuring tapes can be unfriendly to have around sometimes. If you think you might need to, wait for a good body day, or ask a friend to help so you don't have to look at the numbers.)

Make sure the band measurement is firm -for people who squish, sometimes it's good to measure loose on the skin and as tight as humanly possible and if there's more than two inches difference go down a band size from your loose measurement.

It's hard to tell from the angles here, but it looks like your bras might be too big in the band and too small in the cup. It looks like your wires are sitting too low and the gore (the middle bit) isn't sitting firm against your chest. The most eye opening thing for me when learning to bra was this: http://brasandbodyimage.wordpress.com/2012/09/05/putting-your-bra-on-properly/
(and it definitely applies to boobs of all sizes, not just ones as large as hers.)

Anyway,I don't want to overwhelm you with info, but if you have any questions I'd be happy to go into it more, or there are good communities at http://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/ and bratabase.com
